QuickTest Professional Add-in

The QuickTest Professional Add-in integrates Quality Center with QuickTest Professional, enabling you to do the following using Quality Center:

• Add QuickTest Professional tests to the test plan tree.
• View QuickTest Professional tests.
• View and compare details of selected QuickTest test and resource versions.
• Launch and edit QuickTest Professional tests (if QuickTest Professional is installed on the same machine).
• View QuickTest Professional test run results and reports.

Installation Instructions:

1. Install QuickTest Professional on your Quality Center client machine. (This optional step enables you to launch and edit tests from Quality Center.) 
2. Uninstall any previous versions of this add-in. To uninstall, choose Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and follow the instructions on your screen.
3. If you are installing the add-in for QuickTest Professional 10.00 on a Quality Center client machine and QuickTest Professional 10.00 is not installed on the same machine, you must install .NET Framework 2.0 from Microsoft Windows Update.
4. If you are installing the add-in for QuickTest Professional 11.00 on a Quality Center client machine and QuickTest Professional 11.00 is not installed on the same machine, you must install .NET Framework 3.5 from Microsoft Windows Update.
5. If you are installing the add-in for QuickTest Professional 10.00 on a Quality Center client machine and QuickTest Professional 10.00 is not installed on the same machine, you must install MSI 3.1 and Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable from Microsoft Windows Update.
6. If you are installing the add-in for QuickTest Professional 11.00 on a Quality Center client machine and QuickTest Professional 11.00 is not installed on the same machine, you must install MSI 3.1,Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable, and Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable from Microsoft Windows Update.
7. Click the appropriate Download Add-in to download and install this add-in on your client machine. Note that to install this add-in, you must log in with administrator privileges.
8. Install the appropriate Quality Center Connectivity Add-in on your Quality Center client machine. For more information, refer to the Quality Center Add-ins page.
