Notes and Limitations
- Error Message when Opening a Word Document from the Desktop or Explorer: If you are using Office 2003, you may see an error message if you open a Word document from the Desktop or Explorer, indicating that a dialog box is open in Word.
This is because the Word Add-in contains macros, and if your security setting is not set to Low, Word will warn you that a document containing macros is being opened. To avoid seeing this message, you can set the macro security level in Word to Low.
- Manual Step when Upgrading Your Version of Word: If you installed the Word Add-in, and subsequently upgraded your version of Microsoft Word, you must copy the necessary files and folders manually to the new Microsoft Office folder as follows:
Copy the contents of <drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office<old version #>\Startup to <drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office<new version #>\Startup.
For example, if you upgraded Microsoft Word XP (2002) to Microsoft Word 2003, copy the contents of <drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\Startup to <drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Startup.
- Requirement Types: If you import requirement type definitions and then close Microsoft Word, you are asked whether you want to save changes to the TestDirector7.dot file. If you choose to save this file, the requirement type definitions you imported are saved. Next time you work with the add-in, you can use these definitions. If you do not save the file, you must re-import the requirement type definitions the next time you work with the add-in.
