The TestDirector Explorer add-in enables you to use TestDirector as you would a
client-server application, if you are unable to download ActiveX controls,
or if your browser restricts the use of ActiveX elements. The only
elements that are downloaded when you use TestDirector Explorer are
TestDirector components. TestDirector Explorer also solves some of the
usual browser behavior-related problems, such as losing your connection to
TestDirector when clicking on the e-mail hyperlink, or when opening
TestDirector as a default browser and then switching to the new link.

you must install the TestDirector Explorer Add-in (TDExplorerPlugIn.exe) that is provided with the patch.
